This is to certify that all the process colour and special colour offset inks manufactured by Organic Coatings Ltd. follow the SBPIM (Society of British Printing Ink Manufacturers) guidelines on the use of pigments, additives and resins. These inks also adhere to “Japanese Exclusion List” and “Heavy metal content regulation”. These guidelines are specially designed to cover the concerns of the end users in terms of application of the inks to children’s toys or in case of indirect contact for food packaging or wrapping.
The above regulations restrict use of the chemicals mentioned here below:
- Compounds of Lead
- Compounds of Cadmium
- Zinc Chromate
- Pigments and dyestuffs based on Selenium, Arsenic, Antimony and Mercury
- CI Solvent Blue 7 50400 (Induline)
- Toluene di-isocyanate (TDI)
- 2-Nitropropane (2-NP)
- Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB’s)
- Tricresyl phosphate and other similar plasticisers such as Di-Octyl-Phthalate and Di-Butyl Phthalate
- Michlers Ketone
- Topanol A
- Diamino stilbene and derivatives
- Acrylates with Draize figure greater than 3.4 on a scale of 0 to 8
